盛杰远,字钱塘,号石空山人。1932 年 11月生于浙江杭州;1949年 5 月考入以陈毅元帅为校长的中国人民解放军华东军区军事政治大学并毕业;1959年 10 月加入中国共产党,历任学员、区队长、政治干事、政治教导员、宣传科长、福州军区文化处长、俱乐部主任、南京军区美术创作员、享受正师级待遇;1988年离职休养于福建省军区福州第二干休所。曾荣立三等功 五 次 ,荣获中央军委 1988年颁发的中国人民解放军胜利功勋荣誉章一枚。军旅专业画家;中国美术家协会资深会员;国家一级美术师;国家高级文化兿術传承师;中国红旗将军书画研究院院士;中国艺术工作者联合会副主席。少年时代曾受潘天寿、林风眠、刘开渠当代艺术前辈之熏陶,后又受陆俨少、程十发、郑乃珖等名家的亲传口授,结识台湾著名画家刘国松,相互促进。致力于中国山水画,东方与西方、传统与现代、水墨与彩墨探索数十年,成就卓著。其作品个性突现、雄浑华滋、气韵生动、品味高尚、具有极强的艺术性、学术性、前瞻性和本我性,系当代最具影响力和代表性的中国山水画家之一。

Born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang in November 1932; In May 1949, he was admitted to and graduated from the Military and Political University of the East China Military Region of the Chinese People's Liberation Army with Marshal Chen Yi as the president; He joined the CPC in October 1959, and served as a student, a district leader, a political officer, a political instructor, a propaganda section chief, a cultural director of Fuzhou Military Region, a club director, and an art creator of Nanjing Military Region, enjoying the treatment of a division chief; In 1988, he resigned and rested at the Fuzhou Second Cadre Rest Center of the Fujian Military Region. He has won five third class meritorious deeds and a medal of honor for the victory of the Chinese People's Liberation Army issued by the Central Military Commission in 1988. Military professional painter; Senior member of the China Artists Association; National first-class artist; National Senior Cultural and Artistic Inheritor; Academician of the Chinese Red Flag General Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute; Vice Chairman of the China Artists Association. In his youth, he was influenced by contemporary art predecessors such as Pan Tianshou, Lin Fengmian, and Liu Kaiqu. Later, he received oral instruction from famous artists such as Lu Yanshao, Cheng Shifa, and Zheng Naigui, and met the famous Taiwanese painter Liu Guosong, promoting each other. Dedicated to exploring Chinese landscape painting for decades, from the East to the West, from tradition to modernity, and from ink and colored ink, with remarkable achievements. His works are characterized by prominent personalities, powerful and vibrant colors, vivid charm, noble taste, strong artistic, academic, forward-looking, and self-centered qualities. He is one of the most influential and representative contemporary Chinese landscape painters.
